Andrew P. Doan, MD, PhD
Dr. Doan practices general ophthalmology, performs cataract and anterior segment surgeries, and specializes in eye cancers as an ocular pathologist. He is assistant clinical professor of ophthalmology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, Calif.; assistant professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences; a staff physician in comprehensive ophthalmology and ocular pathology at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego; and a partner with Eye Associates of Southern California in Temecula.
Dr. Doan is co-founder and editor of EyeRounds.org. His research interests include medical informatics and information technologies, and improving the training of medical students and physicians.
He completed a combined MD-PhD degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Iowa and a fellowship in ocular pathology and research at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles.
