Prepare with Confidence - Study with the Experts

Study for the Demonstration of Ophthalmic Cognitive Knowledge (DOCK) examination with the only review course based on the Practicing Ophthalmologists Curriculum (POC) - the same content that the American Board of Ophthalmology will use to develop the exam questions. Interactive sessions will be taught by instructors who created the POC.

Who will benefit?

  • Practicing ophthalmologists (comprehensive ophthalmologists and all subspecialists) who wish to attend a course to identify gaps in care in order to update their clinical knowledge, improve their professional practices and enhance patient care outcomes
  • Time-limited certificate holders who plan to take the ABO's DOCK examination in the near future.

What are the course objectives?

  • To provide an update of clinically relevant ophthalmic knowledge and information for all ophthalmologists interested in improving quality of patient care in their professional practices by identifying and addressing gaps in care through appropriate educational strategies
  • To prepare time-limited certificate holders for successful completion of the Demonstration of Ophthalmic Cognitive Knowledge (DOCK) examination in Core Ophthalmic Knowledge and one or two Practice Emphasis Areas of their choice

What are the desired results?

  • Enhance competence: to use newly acquired knowledge on diagnosis and management of ophthalmic problems encountered in everyday practice to identify gaps in care and target areas for practice assessment and performance improvement.
  • Prepare with confidence for successful completion of the DOCK examination in Core Ophthalmic Knowledge and one or two Practice Emphasis Areas of their choice.
