The Ophthalmic News and Education network is a combined effort of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Subspecialty societies to provide a single source of ophthalmic news and education for ophthalmologists around the world. Eventually, this network will represent everything that is clinically relevant to ophthalmologists worldwide.

Each subspecialty area has an Editor and committee who provide breaking news, reports from meetings, journal studies, information on new drugs, technologies and procedures, review of Academy content and advice as to what additional educational materials are needed in each area. We anticipate that this collaboration will meet your educational needs in the most appropriate manner.

The O.N.E.^TM network contains abundant material with a framework for continued expansion.  Through SNOMED tagging, the search mechanism will be optimized to return specific information related to the context of the search. 

Self Assessment with automated remediation, Maintenance of Certification study materials and a Library are all included.

This is the beginning of a network that will grow in a focused manner to efficiently serve the knowledge and educational needs of ophthalmologists around the world.  We look forward to your comments as we continually strive to improve O.N.E.
