My Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits

The Academy's continuing medical education (CME*) program supports ophthalmologists participating in continuing educational activities. It is dedicated to offering ophthalmic education, enhancing knowledge and skills in order to provide patients with eye care of the highest quality.

If you are an Academy member, CME Central allows you to claim CME credit, as well as view, print and export (in .xls format) your Academy CME transcript. Most Academy CME activities are available for online self-reporting and will be immediately reflected in transcripts. Online, non-Academy CME can also be reported for tracking purposes.

If you are not an Academy member, you are able to obtain CME credit through activity on the ONE Network by printing a Verification of Credit upon completion of a CME activity (NOTE: You will not be able to obtain the Verification of Credit at a later date).

For additional questions please send an email to: CME@aao.org or call: +1-415-561-8540 or toll-free 866-561-8558.

* CME is similar to CPD (continuing professional development)
